MIKE ROBERTSONDuring his forty years within martial arts Mike Robertson has trained in Karate, Aikido, Kendo,Waraku and Ki-Budo, He has
been trained in the Shotokan style of karate by many eminent instructors
including JKA Masters Enoeda, Kase, Shirai, Osaka, Tsuyama, Ochi, Hazard and Kawasoe.
Awarded his Black belt by Master Enoeda in 1979, Mike currently holds the
Shotokan Karate rank of 4th Dan Black Belt.
Mike is also a friend and long term student of prominent Scottish Aikido Instructor Stephen Colville, 6th Dan. Mike has trained with Stephen at the famous Iwama Dojo under Master Morihiro Saito in Ibaraki Japan and also at the Dojo of Daniel Toutain Sensei 7th Dan in France. Mike currently holds the grade of 1st Dan in Iwama-Ryu Aikido & Iwama-Ryu Weapons. Mike has also studied the Japanese arts of Kendo with Kazuo Yamazaki Sensei, Cha-Do with Urasenka tea Master Theirry Geerinckx, the arts of Qi-Gong with Chinese Master Zhongxian Wu, Seiki body work with Kyoko Kishi Sensei, and Tai-Chi with Sensei Anthony Fiddler. A hight light for Mike was being invited as a special guest Instructor at the UKAI European Karate Masters training Camp in 2009 in Cork Ireland. In recent times Mike has focused his attention on studying the arts of Ki-Budo, Waraku, Zen Meditation, and Seiki body work under the inspirational guidance of friend and prominent Scottish Instructor Sensei Keith Stewart. |
